The Kaizen Blitz

The kaizen blitz a highly focused, short-term event to improve a process. This workshop provides organizational personnel with an understanding of the Kaizen fundamentals. Our structured, step-by-step process can yield powerful results for your organization. In this workshop, your company’s dedicated team, coached by an experienced instructor and facilitator, will conduct and assess a Kaizen Blitz. The length of the pilot will be determined based on the scope of the selected area and past experience of your team.

Who should attend:
Managers, supervisors, process-owners, and employees involved in the process or area targeted for improvement.

None.

CEU Credits: 2.4 to 4.0

Duration: 24 Hour (3-day) Workshop through a 40 hour (5-day) Workshop

Course Content (typical schedule to a Kaizen event):

• Three to four weeks prior to event
  • Consultants coordinates with management to select the process to be improved and to set the scope of the Kaizen Blitz
  • Kaizen team is selected
  • Goals and objectives for the Kaizen Blitz are determined
  • Collect ion of initial process data

• Day One
  • Classroom training of kaizen tools and methods for team members
  • Walk-through and observations of target process

• Day Two
  • Develop current state value stream / process maps
  • Brainstorm improvement opportunities
  • Develop action plans / future state maps

• Days Three - Four
  • Implement action plans
  • Validate improvements

• Day Five
  • Develop follow-up action item list
  • Prepare end of event presentations
  • Present Kkaizen results to management
